How it works

A straightforward, non-invasive process.

Step 1

Appointment and assessment

Bring your current denture to your appointment. We will assess its suitability for scanning. The denture is returned to you on the same day.

Step 2

Digital scan and record

If appropriate, your denture is digitally scanned and the 3D file is stored securely as part of your clinical record. This records features such as shape and tooth arrangement at the time of scanning.

Step 3

Future reference

If a replacement denture is required in the future, the stored scan may assist in the fabrication process. Clinical assessment and adjustments are still required, as oral tissues can change over time.

Important information

  • A scan can only be taken from an existing denture that is in suitable condition.
  • A scanned file does not replace the need for clinical assessment, impressions, and fitting procedures when making a new denture.
  • Changes in oral tissues over time may affect the fit of any future denture.
  • Suitability for scanning and use of the digital file will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
